Fuel light and Temperature On

I just noticed tonight that my fuel light and temperature light are always on in my DC5, even though its on a full tank. The lights only come on when instrument lights are on and the car runs normally. Any ideas on the problem?

Could be an issue with the electronics within the dash... or possibly even the sensors?
