Hey guys, having some trouble here,

Did a b16 swap onto my eg5,
It's running but I got a CEL code - map sensor

Now I noticed I don't have a map sensor on top of my throttle body..
Where can it be? I also have not missed any plugs or anything.

I've searched it up on hondatech and people in the states uses their d series map sensor..
Now I tried that but what do I plug it with? Lol
No plugs on the engine harness that matches to it..

Some said crx had a remote external map sensor which runs off the interior harness and goes through the firewall.. Could that be my problem?

Any way I can fix this?

Thanks

Interesting, just did some research and seems as though the JDM B16A had a firewall mounted MAP sensor.

Couple options..

Find a firewall mounted MAP sensor and wire it in

OR

Replace the throttle body with one that has a MAP sensor on it and wire it in

Wire it through where? Engine harness? Shock tower harness?
Or is it best just to get another wiring harness that has the map sensor plug?

Yea I saw the same pic too

You only need to extend the wiring to the shock tower plugs because the MAP sensor wiring is already in your EG5 main cabin loom

I also got a long motor b18b with the manifold and it's the same,
There's no map sensor location

Anyone care to help?

Take photos perhaps? The ones that has external map sensor?
And maybe write down where the wires lead to? Whether it goes to engine harness or goes through firewall?

So extend the wires from the shock tower (cabin side) onto a map sensor?
