dc2r gearbox goes for about 1k / 1.5k for 96 / 98 spec
then add labour about $500 or so to swap gearbox.

rebuild your 2 gears probably 2k.

you in syd? pm benjammin / na-118 for box job

My dc2r gearbox getting rebuilt and parts costing around 600ish with all the carbon synchro kit, and with hub sleeves. Labour is 500-600 for a full overhaul and installing parts

labour is 300 for gearbox in and out :)

is this including the gears and bearings? i see full overhaul is to replace everything, not just the synchros.
cos sometimes the gears would be worn as well and needs to be replaced.

Gears were fine, gears don't need to be changed if they arn't damaged. It is mainly the synhcro and hub sleeve that needs replacing. Yes with a few bearings but not 100% on which ones as my gearbox guy did it. Still in the budget of <$600

One problem with my third gear that outer surface was bent, however the guy said he can straighten it up and re-surface it. Problem was the previous owner of the gearbox must've missed shiffed very hard and caused damaged. Still charged me $500 for the gearbox labour.

Location is in QLD Brisbane pricing from an experianced bloke.

OT, don't buy a 2nd hand gearbox if it wasn't rebuilt. If it was rebuilt have them showing you the paper work, and chase it up. Just a tip
