will just sit in your fuel tank. might decompose over time but it won't get anywhere because of the fuel filter

Will it cause problems ? power loss or something else

It should be fine, it will sit in the bottom of the tank and it will slowly deteriorate from the petrol. The fuel filter should catch the broken down pieces if it ever gets sucked in.

Its a pain in the ass draining the petrol tank out.

Is your fuel filter in-tank or in-line?

as above, it wont get sucked into the pump. You can always remove the sender and stick your hand in there and fish it out.

Close the cap. Out of sight, out of mind! Haha.

Nah it's too big to get sucked up surely, as mentioned above. You could always get into the tank if you want to, use this as an opportunity to clean out all the crap at the bottom of the tank.
