Well People A Little Help Is Needed I have read all the information I can find on replacing the Automatic Gearbox on my car (1990 Honda Civic 3 door hatch Motor is D15B4 gearbox is L4 Automatic) I have the replacement Gearbox.

The Manual says to remover the Distributor but doesn't say weather the gearbox comes out from the top or bottom (IE lifts Up And Out or Drops Down And Out.

Not sure what you are asking here. Are you referring to putting the engine and gearbox together and then dropping in.

Or are you referring to taking the auto box out without removing the engine?

I would disengage the auto box and then drop it out.

I've done an auto2manual conversion in an EG and I needed to buy a new gearbox mount as the manual box uses a different mount. The ED is probably the same so have you got that covered?

it's easier to drop the gearbox down, u can do it both ways. just depend on what easier for you.
Remove drive shaft, rear mount, gearbox mount, bolts holding the gear to the engine...
put 1 or 2 stand under the engine with piece of wood,

I have a faulty gearbox I got the replacement (same model as the faulty one) and the manual was saying that to remove the Gearbox Only motor is staying in the car that you have to remove the distributor and I thought that if the gearbox when down why remove the distributor and both your and hmetro24are saying drop down thanks I have my answer
