Ok. So I bought some eg coilovers.http://img.tapatalk.com/31b04168-d256-a68f.jpg

Want to make them fit on my ek.

Now I've heard plenty of stories.

- not possible
- teg lca ( apparently too short)
- spacers?

Has anyone actually done this and can help me sort it out?!

The front I've heard go in fine.
The rear have fitment issues.

Thanks in advance guys.

You need DC2R rear LCAs, but i'm not 100 percent sure on the length between the two. Pretty sure the EK arms are longer.

Another option would be if you could find the lower mount sleeves from an EK kit and swap them out...

Ye got zeals for an ek but they are blown . Do they come apart?

So what does that mean with the lca? Is it usable or not?

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to TbM again.

Yes, the bottom sleeve should screw right off the EK ones you have and screw onto these ones.

Take this part off (epic MS paint skills at work)

the only leverage i can get is with the c spanner on the height adjustment nuts and a screw driver on the eyelet. any other ideas of how to undo them?

put it right way up in a vice with wood so dont damage and then use c spanner on locked perch to nudge undone

I'm using my whole body weight down with a big a$$ screw driver in the whole. Something sounds wrong. I'll give that a shot but. Thanks

You will probably stuff the bush using a screwdriver and twisting it,try my method instead

What do you mean by locked on perch?

no luck man.... these do come apart right? the other zeals did. and these look exactly the same down there... there different materials so its not one piece.

They are siezed, you may have to soak it for longer and apply some heat to the lock ring. Not too much though since you will heat the shock too.

Can you unlock the collar just above the bottom sleeve?

Ye collar is easy.. They are soaking in wd40 as of last night. Threw some more on this morning.. Will try again. How much heat? Is this to the blue part?

Yes, heat the blue sleeve that would mount to the arm - just use a hairdryer or something similar. Lock the bottom in a vice, then as you try to turn the threaded body just tap the sleeve also. It may loosen things enough to get it moving

Yep chucked the coilovers in a vice and got a big a$$ screwdriver and levered them free. Ek ones went straight on. Better than a 500$ control arm..

Thanks guys
