check engine oil level... top up if needed... run ecu code test..

LOL funny thread. Check oil levels. is number one
Driving with air con on or something over loading the power supple can have power loss affect.
Has the car been re tuned or vtec point adjusted. I no of some people who actually raise the vtec point. So when vtec "kicks in yo" its more prompt and gives more the kick feeling.
Other then that check spark plugs, leads and distributor!

Check the timing
And if that fails you probably have a boost leak some where, so go to supercheap auto and buy a bottle of that tyre puncture repair kit and spray a bit down the intake manifold. That should fit it.

Stop trolling you noobs.
OP just check oil level and if that's sufficient check if there's an oil leak at your VTEC solenoid.

1) Make sure oil level and oil pressure are good
2) Make sure car is at normal operating temperature
3) Make sure there is no check engine light
4 Make sure wires/plugs are tight or wired correctly
5) Make sure vtec solenoid is clean
6) Make sure you have a vtec enabled ecu
Hopefully you can get it sorted out! Good Luck

Btw here is a couple of things to check out
1. Any vacuum leaks on the intake arm or around the air box
2. Failing / failed TPS
Both can alter the "feeling" of VTAK ( serious)

when Vtec does kick in the power band isnt at the beginning of the VTEC rev range, usually its a bit further on nearer to redline, isnt it?
it should just make more noise and perform better then it would if it only had 1 size cam, its not boost.
what you could do is, get to vtec with ur foot at 50% then when vtec kicks in (yo~) plant it to the floor, it will feel like boost

yeah normally at crossover theres a drop in power as you see from most vtec dyno charts
then it starts to soar as the rpm rises, your pulse raises, surroundings begin to blur and time slows down as you approach the stargate

if your exhaust has a flex, check it, it could be crushed!
