View Full Version : Floor jack question?

Simple question, I've been using those little trolley jacks with the handle you have to pull out and crank to lower it again. The thing sucks and can barely lift it high enough for me to get the stands under.

Question is, can anyone recommend what and where to get a decent floor jack, and how much it'll cost me? Don't need anything huge, just something reliable. Thanks!

The Costco ones seem to get a great review although I dont have one myself

Ive got a Magic Lift with low front,never had an issue with it

I'll look into the Costco jacks. Where do you get this Magic Lift jack? Low profile sounds like what I need.

srs get costco jack, best investment. you wont find a better one for that price

i used to have a $30 SCA jack and same issues as you. went costco one day to buy noodles, nek minit see jack. best $160 ive ever spent

left it in the rain etc, still going strong. pumps hard and fast

I bought a 2500kg jack (it was the biggest one they got) from super cheap auto when they had it on sale only $100.

If your quick, repco has a sale on Pro-Lift jacks, got a 2000 kg one for $89 Do it... I too use to have s shitty sca one and it wouldnt go high enough to put jack stands on my pinch wields...

I bought a costco jack yesterday for $172 best jack i ever bought 5 pumps gets to full height.

if after less spend, the SCA jacks from supercheap are a great price and work well.

they dont even fit under the car... the most expensive SCA jack has a minimun height of like 130mm

I'm planning to head out to Costco and find one of these floor jacks. The SCA ones are so garbage. Can't even jack the car high enough to put pin style jack stands under the brace points, without using a secondary jack on each brace point.

I got the 2500kg SCA jack it was the biggest one they got and seems to work fine.
