Hi folks,

Ran in the Production Touring (Group 3E Production cars) Enduro (1 hr) on the weekend and had my first mechanical DNF in 4 seasons! Split the stock radiator on my JDM DC2 R right across the top and unfortunately it was game over as I would not have been able to complete enough laps to classify me as a finisher :( I won my class on the Saturday so I still came away with the round win for the class. :D.

Anyway, since I am going to replace the radiator I was seeking any experience folks have had with the various aftermarket aluminum ones (like Koyo rad etc) particularly in racing applications. Now remember that this is production racing so the engine is as standard as it comes.

Any info will be greatly appreciated as we are going to Victoria for the next round and there will be 2 x 1hr races so we want to be in ship shape for this.

Rgds

For endurance I see a lot of people running a full sized radiator with a thicker core than oem.

Koyo Radiators, Griffin are good brands.

Do you have an oil cooler?

No additional oil cooler just a breather tank. For 1 hour races it is not really a problem. Thanks for the tips guys.

Racing Koyo radiator. And you can get either denso or showa as neither will fit the stock fans with the Heat shield or after market headers. Then just run after market slim Davies craig fans
