I reckon 16s look a little better, but maybe a bit small...dunno:rolleyes:

17s!!
Who cares if the car doesn't take off as well, more time for people to admire ;)

Oh and the pictures you posted aren't fair, the rims on the 16s look much better then the 17s!

my mate put 18's HP design gold rims on his EM1 and i must admit it looks hot.....
if it were me, i'd go the 17's but tahts personal taste.

haha, yeah 15s is only 1 inch up.....not worth doing from stock

17s is a preferred option, 16s would be ok though

Stephen, just got rid of 18s, not going back to that!

can't wait to see ur car dudes!!!

but imo i'd go either 15's or 16's.... but since 15's isn't an option... i gues 16's... the medium between looks and "performance"

all to their own....

are u ever, every goin to track race ur car?...if not id go the 17s, i rekn thats a good size for street use, although 16s will be more comfy...i rekn u will regret buying 16s if ur not 100% into performance...

I agree totally, about not being 100% happy with 16s....no never going to track it....its my daily, got another car for racin'

But anyway, kinda irrelevant now...ordered my new 17s today:D....should be all complete with the new look done by this time next week, will get some pics up!!

get 17" dude if u aint too worried about performance and want a nice cruiser, ie, like nobbs car, it looks very nice!!! but my personal preference would be 16"

I would've initially said 17s look better but 16s are better performance wise.
Looking at the pics you posted ... I actually now think the 16s look better. Maybe it's the style, but the 17s to me look oversized for the car.
What size is on the EK in the pic (they look like a good size to me)?

Definately the 17"s.....more to look at. There's not THAT much difference in the performance anyway! :)

I am a fan of big wheels but i think 16" would suit an ek coupe way better... give it a better racy look and a racy feel... go the 16"s

LowCoupe

too late, I didn't buy either of those styles, they are just size examples!!!

16s would've been a little better suited to the look, but 17s are a good size for me.....so i got them, thanks for all the advice and opinions!

14s are stock....to small, 15s are just a bit small for EK i think....on an EG hatch, dumped they look good....but not EK coupe when 14s are standard

man y r u askin then if 14s r too small?? shit man u asked ppls opinions, sounds like ur gettin 17s to me...

why dont u do someting different in qld, get nice light 15s and enjoy the better acceleration u get. just for looks = :thumbdwn:

LowCoupe
14-03-2005, 06:16 PM
if you read my topic question, it says 16s or 17s...never mentioned 14s dude!!!!

I was considering 16s....but in the end they are just that bit small.....I gotta think resale too, not many people want 16s etc, so as far as selling the car goes, 17s would be better.....

16s would look better, i reckon, but 17s won't look BAD....i don't think anyway....14s or 15s would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LowCoupe

I don't need acceleration, its my daily shitter....I'll get in my 10sec R100 if i want to feel the force!!!

so yeah it will be just for looks actually:thumbsup:
