Fuel Tank Capacity

hey guys i did some research on here about integra vtir fuel tank capacity. Most people said it was 50L but the thing is when i refuel my car when its pretty much empty, i only get around 30L before it starts to click like crazy and petrols starting to come out. Im so lost as to why my fuel tank is only around 30L? any ideas?

Could be the fuel pump, filter or even the fuel gauge??? i think that's what its called...something along the line of the fuel tank. My friend has a 42lts capacity yaris and it doesn't let him fill up more then 18lts in the tank.

Redbook says 50. Empty light normally comes on at 10-15 ltrs left

I drove on empty for about 70 km the other day. Put 15 Ltrs in and the gauge went to 40%

It's 50L and I think your warning light will come on at about 5L remaining.

I say this because I always calculate my economy on my EH9 and my light appears to come on when I'm used approximately 40L of the 45L capacity.

Oh, okay. I assumed 40L because I filled up just as my light had come on, and it took 35L. I was assuming that the needle being on empty would mean 5L remaining, not 15L! Now I'm going to be tempted to drive for ages with the warning light on...

dc integras fuel tank capacity is 50L
eg/eh fuel tank capacity is 45L
taken from service manual.

^ correct, 50L capacity for dc integra... Light comes on heaps early...

I've driven for 40 odd km's after the light came on and it took 42L before the pump clicked...

So I'd say the light comes on with around 10 litres left

i would say that the previous owner put an aftermarket fuel tank that is smaller for that weight reduction yo! thats just my opinion.

But in all seriousness, Vtir IS A 50 litre tank. doesnt matter how many litres u got left when the needle is on empty, just fill up. simple.
