How much should I expect to pay for a set of EK9 tails? Assuming the clips aren't broken and the surface isn't really scratched, and where (apart from eBay) would I look for some?

Thanks :)

Edit: Specifically, I mean facelift tails.

What about the ones on eBay? They seem to be cheaper or are they not OEM?

it'd help if you provided a link to said ebay tail lights.
You could try yahoo auctions japan, import monster/other importing companies
Alternatively there is a DIY on doing this to your ek1 tail lights if you're up for the challenge - http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?53321-DIY-EK9-taillights-for-10

I asked the seller for more pics, got sent the same pic as in the description instead

The listing says OEM and in used condition. I heard import monster has crazy shipping prices?

The seller has good feedback. I don't think they are a bad option if the price is right for you

My dilemma is the price. Does ~$160 make sense for OEM EK9 tails?

it's probably a little bit on the cheap side but in saying that, i've seen some go for cheaper.
If paying more puts your mind at ease - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/JDM-HONDA-EK9-CIVIC-TYPE-R-OEM-98-SPEC-BRAKE-LIGHTS-/130538841787?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e64b8a6bb#ht_500wt_1054

Yeah I did a little research and seen some go for ~$120 on other forums. I'd consider buying them if the seller will send me some real pics rather than just hotlinking me to the same pic in the description. I don't know if it's the lighting, but they seem to have a matte look to them? Not a lot of gloss like the pair from QLD you linked.

I've been reading through the DIY thread - will these tails hook straight up? I read something like EK9's having a 6-pin connector and EK1's having 4-pin so it wouldn't be compatible? Not too sure..

could be sun damage/scratches etc.

Might just look for a set of 99-00 tails, do the DIY and save $160 in the process. Cheers Brandon :)

Hmm..how much might I expect to pay for 99-00 clear tails?

Depends on seller and condition tbh. ~$100 +/-$50 from private seller. Put up a WTB thread and browse through the for sale forums. GL with your search

I'll be happy if I can do it myself for a lot cheaper. Just wondering though, how do you wire the extra bulbs in on real EK9's?

Wire bulb socket (buy from repco) to the wire that lights up the rear tail light (not the one that comes on when you step on the brake)
