D16Y8 Leak? Need some clarification

Hey Ozhonda,

So something leaking just under my dizzy after a period of driving. Now i dont know whether its engine oil or transmission oil because i heard if transmission oil collects dirt and stuff it'll look like engine oil but when i took the auto shift lock valve out (because i think its where the leak started), the solenoid gasket was abit effed up. Could that possibly be the leak? Any help/advice would be great because the leak gets annoying.

most likely the o ring from the dizzy very easy to replace should only cost 5dollars

Yeah agreed. I'd be surprised if you got transmission oil up that high.

If the solenoid gasket is effed, yeah that could be it. Just get it replaced and give the surfaces a real good clean.

hmm to replace the o-ring would you have to take out the dizzy or? Haven't really touched the dizzy since i got the car so yeah. But yeah is there a honda dealer somewhere in Melbourne? I'm kinda new to the area and don't exactly know where one is. Might have to order the Auto Shift Lock Valve Solenoid gasket.

very easy takes about 15mins to do just make sure you mark the dizzy spot to the head so timing isnt changed
