View Full Version : K24 Belt Tensioner Arm Bolt snapped?! what does it do?

As below what does this bolt hold?
its the moving arm part of the K24 belt tensioner, the bolt snapped but the arm doesnt come off,

What does the bolt hold?
is it still safe to drive?

The missing bolt appears to hold the tensioner to the engine. Potentially with enough vibration it could fall off/out.

Remove the belt and p/s pump, take off auto tensioner and replace that bolt. It holds the moveable arm to the housing.

Better safe than sorry :)

Thanks for the input guys, yeh ended up taking the power steering off, and taking the tension arm off.
3 bolts hold it in place, it was one of the three.
