HELP.... My civic sounds like a Subaru :(

Its a B16a it happend out of the blue when I realised the car was shaking alot. I pulled over and the idle was really rough, it sounded like the Subaru engine, and it would give off a small backfire every now and then, but when its past around 3k revs it sounds okay.

I was thinking one of my pistons are dead or leaking compressions?

Any ideas, also I'm at TAFE should i drive 30mins home?

Its misfiring.

Could be numerous things,first check the ignition cables


If you can,do an ecu error code check and see if anything comes up

Check your ignition starting with spark plugs

Should be alright to drive home.. Just that you'll be shooting unburned fuel vapour out the back so i'd drive only if it's extremely close..

definalty misfiring. changed my spark plugs and problem went away for 5,000kms i think it was.
ended up being a dying ICM so i just changed the entire dizzy

Your car requires a full service, spark plugs etc..
