Gday fellow honda dudes and dudettes,

The names Chris. I've been on here a while but never posted an intro thread, thought I might as well now, i'm bored and cruising around ozhonda.

I used to own this:

Mazda RX7 FD3S with Enkei NT03=m wheels - Plates: YHZ78

Got tired of the rx7 and was looking for a daily car, that was quick and fun. So I bought my EG4 Civic from Sydney in November last year, the engine is a BYP Racing Developments built H22A with B series Type R box. As far as I know, this is the second EG hatch in Australia with a H2B conversion. Supposeably this car makes 150kw and runs approximately 12.8 seconds on the quarter with slicks. Havn't had a chance to test it out yet. Daily Driven H2B FTW!

So youre the guy who owned that FD..that was a hot car

Cant understand going from that to a civic but I guess you had engine issues with the rotor and got fed up?

Is it that obvious? lol. It was not a bad car, but to own that and a daily, it was hard, the RX7 costed me $120 to fill up and it only lasted about 350kms... So in my eyes, to get rid of 2 cars and get a daily that is quicker than an RX7, I see it as an upgrade! hahaha

The FD that I had only had about 60,000kms on the clock. So you could say it was due for a rebuild, but there is alot of controversy around that topic, some say u dont need to replace the seals every 50,000kms, some say u do. each to their own i suppose...

Welcome to alice and hondaland

So are you alice, and we are hondaland? lol. Cant wait til ozhonda meet!

Hey thanks for reminding me wanker. lol.

Yeah everybody, quick update, I blew the bottom end bearings which in result, damaged the 3rd piston and piston chamber and crank is not grindable. Not to worry, I have purchased another H22A Type S from the states, waiting for it to get here.

Nice choice on the engine and box. Been in one before and damn they are fast. So much win from H2B

cheers man. It's actually really hard to source another good type S engine, but I managed to and it should be here mid December. Hopefully have the car up and running before the end of the year
