how many people have actually done this, is it common, i was told by a friend of mine that his friend turbo's a DC2 and the engine cacked it. I dunno how reliable this info is but yeh i was just wondering.

it can't be done. turbo + honda = no no. dont go there. the integrea manual says "its bad to put turbo kits on honda"

Dont go turbo... too much messing around and you can end up with major problems. If you do decide to go Turbo look to be spending approx. $6k+ for a reliable setup. I think that n/a is the way to go and when you have a powerful car without FI which is more powerful than cars with FI, the glory will be much more worthwhile. N/A All the way!!

Boost is ur friend. Do it. Depends how much ur expecting. You can get away with a lil turbo eg t28 run 8psi or less without touching ur internals and engine will live. If you expecting something more ur gonna be expectin big bucksssss.

You can get away with something like greedy kit say bout 3k give or take a few hundred.

Yes i agree sp3rmz, it does depend on how much yur expecting, i do realise that you can run a small amount of boost like 8psi on stock internals, but i honestly dont see the point in running such a small amount of boost, because all that money will be spent on going turbo, but you wont gain much from it. Im not sure on numbers but why not just take that money you will spend on a t28 turbo running 8psi boost and spend it on n/a applications like aggressive cams, port/polish, higher comp?? you will probably gain that same amount of power as a small turbo application but have a better record and cheaper insurance. thats just my 2 cents i guess

because crispy, u can spend that money on Na and hvae the same peak power, but still get handed ur ass on ur hand with ur peak power. The turbo car has more wider poewr band.

i dont see the problem with turbo hondas.. done correctly they can be lethal!
just dont get boost greedy and make sure u have a reliable garage who can do it, avoid backyard jobs!

The boost from a lil t28 with stock internals can gain u like 70kws. I got the stat from poid becuase his friend boosted a stock type R. With that 3k i dont think you will get the same amount of power goin NA. Even with a lil t28 t25 it helps honda with bottom end power where most of our cars are lacking.

I guess you do have a point pornstar, i didnt really think of it in the way of peak power. And i do also agree with you sp3rmz, you probably wont be able to get that amount of power from a n/a setup. But i do have one thing to ask, if you boost a stock type r with a t28, and use the same setup on an LS/GSI for instance, will you still be gaining the same amount of power? i know you could probably wind the boost up a bit more on an ls/gsi, but this has got me wondering what the differences in power would be.

GSI-PSI
15-03-2005, 07:30 PM
I own a turbo teg people and id never go back. Oh and its only a gsi with standard internals. It has 130kw at the wheels and its only runnin 6psi at the moment. Im runnin a gt28 rollerbearing turbo with an extra injector. The only thing that lest me down is the standard clutch which will be changed with a cushion button this month. next week it will be on 8psi as well. If ur wonderin how they do on the track, i got 14.2sec qtr mile at 101mph and the clutch was slippin the whole way. With the new clutch and 8psi im pertty sure i can get in the 13's and 2 me that is impossible with an n/a integra with only spending $4,500 for the conversion. Hope that answers any queries u guys hav bout turbo tegs.
