Hi guys,

Im planning to do Conversion on my Civic EK (99) Facelifted model
D16 non vtec with a b18c1 VTI integra.

What considerations do i need to take? mainly the wiring system.

for Engine mount i'm going for hassport kit, so that would eliminate one..

can any one point out to me what to do? is there any harness available for direct plug and play.

Cheers,

If you get the Ek4 engine loom its plug n play.

The facelift EK1's in AU are actually OBD2a not 2b. Strange considering 99+ were suppose to be OBD2b.

Also, u will need a OBD2a to OBD1 conversion plug if your using OBD1 ecu.

Or if using OBD2 ecu, you need to bypass the immobiliser. There's a DIY in this forum on how to delete by ECU-MAN. Linked below

as they said ek4 harness.. everything is plug n play... i would suggest to do a full service on your new engine plant aswell to make it fresh.. i would also suggest upgrading your radiator aswell.. koyo or even a stanard ek4 radiator as its dual instead of single

Does the the VTIR Integra Loom can be patch onto the EK?
because i have the whole wreck of the integra..

if can may be i can pry off to make it work.

It can be done with the VTIR loom but depends on how confident you are with electrical work and if your up for the work involved. Get the schematics off the service manual for ek and dc2, it will definitely make it easier. your pretty much making a "new" loom.

Chris,ur integra is a 1997 integra vtir obd2,and the ek is obd2 also...so should be easy to convert

No its not dc integras still run the correct obd1 shock tower plugs ek are different they don't just plug in like previously said the ecu will however if its a late dc but engine harness will not,

The ek4 is differs aswell due to it being a b16 there's no iab, like previously said you should be able to splice the ek d series harness to a b series just add the additional wires for knock, vtec, etc. It's nearly as much stuffing around as a ed/ef chassis

You should by looking at it be able to use stock engine mounts and buy just the hasport passenger side mounting bracket there $70 this will convert it to the dc type mount
