When I started my car the rpm tacho needle stayed at 0 instead of going up around 1K as usual. It still revved fine, but was about 1Krpm short of what it should have been.

It was also jumping around 2-3mm down then back up quickly when the car was not moving.

After about 15mins driving it returned to normal display of what the rpm were, but it was still jumping down 2-3mm when the car was stationary. Like quickly dropping down and up 2-3mm, approximately 2-3 times per second.

What da fuqs wrong with it? I don't like it :(

Cheers for any help guys, will love you long time.

sounds like the tacho is just busted. have you done anything to it lately? hit any hard bumps?

could try pulling out your cluster and cutting the Tacho wire (BLUE wire, Pin A1 - on a DC2, dont know about DC4)
then splice a wire onto the BLUE wire at the dizzy, then run that wire too the cluster and solder it on to where the tacho wire used to be.
that will determine if your tach signal wire is shorting on something.

if not then you probably need a new cluster.

rpm tacho gets its reading from the ICM in the dizzy..

before buying a new icm/ dizzy try and find a rpm tacho and hook it up see how u go.
