In the market for a new radiator, and deciding how much i'm willing to spend on a big brand aftermarket one or just a generic lesser known/no brand one.

Would like to hear the opinions of people who have purchased and actually run aftermarket radiators themselves - their brand and their opinion of it. - anything from ebay to koyo!

thanks!

I use koyo R. There great. Hold alot more fluid. Keeps temps down. Not you will need to run thin fans with this radiator. Even though they have the mounting points for the stock fans. They wont fit. I used Davies craig Fans!

i bought a mishimoto rad off a forum sponsor extreme project world, was alot cheaper than the other alternatives, all bolts up well to stock fans (only slight problem is the stock radiator stay isnt a 100% fit) but super happy with it, kept temps constantly under control at track day, and looks bling aswell as a lifetime warranty!

I had a golpher radiator on my dc5.

Did the job, cooled the car better than stock.

Shame I couldnt test it out on the track.

Radiator stay is the small triangle piece of metal with a 10c sized hole - made to hold the top of the radiator to the radiator support. It often doesn't line up properly with aftermarket radiators , but can be persuaded with alittle force.

Doesn't matter what type of radiator kc , as long as its to suit B series and single core ( same design as your standard one)

I'd spend money on a new koyo

iv been using australian made radiators from justperformance
have had them on 3 different cars now, 2 EGs and a prelude
they have held up just as well as other brands like koyo that i have used in the past
i have always bought the rad, fan + shroud from them at a good price
the welds etc are top notch and they look good

2 core rads for D and B and 3 core rads for H and K
along with some double core silicon hoses (generic ones i think)
and OEM thermostat - or no thermostat depending on the engine setup

Would never run without a thermostat. Especially not if running a large performance radiator!

O and i put the fan in front of the radiator for space and switch the wire around.

yeah the radiator stay lines up, its just too high it seems, so like, instead of the height of the Z shape of it being sayyy 5cm (stock) it need to be 4 or 3.5 cm (not actual measurements, just guessing really)
