anyone recommend any good tuners?
Dyno Dave was my man but ive heard he is retired?

what sort of power and 1/4 mile times do you think ill be running with street tyres, stripped out back seat, front seats and boot upholstry all gone?

im hoping for a 13.2? would that be reasonable?

yeah mid-low 13s high 12 is possible with this engine combination provided its not a lemon
and makes power on the dyno

In comparison a 158kw B20VTEC DC2R did 13.4@105mph 2.2 60FT on street tyres.

do you guys think i should get a bigger throttle body? bigger CAI?
or even go a 3inch zorst?

I'd run a 68mm without hesitation, especially for 2.0L displacement. maybe an Injen or something similar to go with it as they are something like 68-70mm. and get the opening in the S2 manifold machined out to match the throttle body size.

I personally wouldn't bother with 3" exhaust on B series unless you are equipping it with forced induction. 2.5" should be plenty, or maybe 2.75" at the most.

Before you go about thrashing, be sure to get a breather system made up, to let out all the excessive bottom end pressure the vtec head will stress on the
B20 Block.

just an update to my build thread.

had a tune with BYP and i was only getting about 131kw.
was pretty devastated as my setup should be getting way more.

we thought maybe the BC spec 4 cams were defective but after installing the M22x cams they werent much different, so scratch defective cams off the list.

so...other changes since then...

had turbo injectors in the car and was running abit to rich and heavy. Vtec was just struggling. Changed over to RDX injectors and OMFG they made a huge difference. Better spray pattern and it was a finer mist than a fat drop. Better combustion, more power and better fuel consumption. Vtec just pulls hard now..

Have opened the headers and put in replica toda header (1 piece) and changed the cat to a 100 cell cat.

car is much more responsive. Biggest restriction too is my twin loop muffler.
need to get rid of that too

going to change TB and port the manifold
and then to get back on a dyno for another tune

The on going quest for a better setup we have used the BC4 cams in a 2lt IPRA engine they worked really well just not as good as the M22x in the mid range.
RDX Injectors are an OEM part in the USA they are the best injector around under 550cc they are super simple when it comes to tuning them and make good gains over any of the turbo old style injectors people seem to use.

I bet it will make more power if you get it tuned somewhere else. Adrian at SAS managed to get 139kw out of my built B18 so I'm sure your B20 is capable of more!

Poor bastard having to fix others mistakes after them not knowing how to make things work and normally blaming the engine builder or your cams are a bad set.
