Hey guys,

Just after a bit of advice!

What does everyone think of the Alpine PDX v9? The fact it's a 5 channel amp that's tiny, is currently appealing to me... Massive space saver

Will the PDX be able to supply enough juice to my audio set-up? (100 watts RMS x 4 + 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 or 4 ohms)

Alpine type-r coaxial speaker
Alpine type-r component speaker
Alpine type-r sub

*I will have a look for specific part numbers tonight

To put it simply, yes. Yes it will put out enough juice. Sub might be a little shy on power, but it'll still doof.

Just gotta make sure you set the gains right, and don't expect the world of the sub, cause from memory the type r's aren't overly sensitive. Don't get me wrong, it'll be fine for sub bass, but probably not bass you'll feel in your chest if you get me

heard good things about the V9.

IF your getting the old type r sub(rated to 600rms) then 500 will push it ok, the new type r's are rated to 1000rms so i would be looking for a bigger amp if your getting a new type r.

Dont bother getting coaxial for the rear, spend the money you would of spent on the rear speakers and get better front speakers.

Yeah was aiming to get the 600rms type-r sub... I've currently already got the system from my previous car (purchased in 2009, but currently running a slimline sub) Just wanting to save some space with the new set up
