sorry guys, this prob been covered but. i was just wondering how the fit goes with 18" rims on a ek civic hatch.

at the moment i have 18s with 205/35/18s.
i have stock suspension and just wondering how much touble it is to get the car to sit low over them.

i previously only had 17s and found that i could fit a 215 tyre under the guard at the rear but 215 would scrub badd at the front.

anyways just looking for some comments from some1 who has modified their guards and how much effort it is to accomodate 18s low on a HB

cheers

i've got a civic vtir coupe rolling on 18x7.5 with 215/35r18 lowered on king springs (stock shocks) and i haven't had to roll the guards at all.........minor scrubbing at the front only on the plastic bits at first but otherwise fine......the rears don't even touch even with passengers in the rear.

hey dude, i used to have an EK hatchback with 18s on it, it was lowered 4inches at the front and 3.75inches at rear...the tyres size was 215/35/18 and the springs were extra heavy duty JUMBOZ springs...running on stock shocks

the rear was only lipped, it never once scrubbed, even with a full load

the front was lipped and i also cut the plastic splash guard where it was scrubbing, after this i had to kinda bang a bit of metal slightly to further accommodate the wheels...it did not scrub once over bumps after this...the bad thing was though that i didnt have much of a turning circle, i had to be very careful when doing u turns etc...but i never damaged my guards...it only scrubbed when turning sharp

i had it that height for 1yr and 4 months myself and the new owner has had it for 5 months and its still the same height...

heres a pic...

i had 18 inch neeper titans on mine for a couple weeks. I have Blitz racing springs those 2 stages ones with factory shocks. Hardly ever scrubed only scrubed with 3 people in the back.

easy fit, just want some nice stiff suspension and rolled guards lol other wise theyll scrape to the canvas

Whats the lifespan of stock shocks compared to aftermarket ones on a lowered ride equiped with king springs n low profiles?

i got 19s by 7.5 on my civic hatch.
lowered 3 inchs at back 2.5 up front both front and rear guards are lipped.
the only thing is that full lock is non existant i only get bout 3/4 lock.
the price u pay for the look u want.
