Been wondering can u actually remove the oem head studs individually to replace with stronger ones with out needing to removing the belt, or the need to acually remove the whole head an other stuff around it

Im gonna be upgrading my head studs soon, an tryna find the easiest way

cheers

by head studs do you mean head bolts.

anyway it can be done without having to replace the headgasket.

Indeed, by introducing boost into these motors, the head bolts cant handle that much, which sucks if ur only aiming for 200hp like me :(

ahh cheers for clarification, thanks for that, would i just remove individual than just re-torque that individual head bolt back to specs than proceed to the next one but in sequence as in the service manual?

no

back off all bolts and ensure they are just done up to stop the head from moving, do this one at a time in sequence. then replace the bolts with the studs and torqu to spec in sequence. do the same for the other head.
