stereo wiring in ek civic

I've checked on that installdr.com to see which wires do what but the wires are in different locations (in the plug) to the ones in my car. Am I right to assume the colour is more important than the location in the plug.

Never mind. Didn't read properly. they have brown with white stripe twice and the left front speaker blue with green stripe but the one i have is just blue. delete thread

if you wanna test which wires go for which speaker easiest thing to do is get a AA battery connec the positive and negative u think goes to that speaker it will make a little pop noise

Should check which year is you ek civic model
As 96-98 have different wiring compared to 99-00
