you will need to change your control arms to have them fit.

You will need to find EK control arms with eyelet type mounting points. You will not be able to use DC2R control arms as they are shorter than EK control arms

The only company that makes a rear eyelet control arm for ek is F7, an thats very pricey! Unless ur keen on spending another 350 ontop of the coilovers, walk away an save ur self the money an just get EK coilovers

All the answers above are correct.

You will need to buy function 7 lower control arms for ek with eyelet type to fit the dc2r coilovers.

Pretty much from there after acquiring the eyelet type lower control arms for ek, fitting the dc2r coilovers will be very simple and straight forward.

Shoot either EG5 or BYP for a quote on a great deal for the the lower control arms.

Please let them know that you need the ek eyelet type lower control arms, so they won't sell you the standard ek ones.

Pretty sure the fronts will fit. For the rears to fit, you'll to purchase the F7 lower control arms as others have mentioned.

Check out the spring rates for the DC2R, according to Tein Japan

DC2R - 9/4

NB: EK not on there, I assume they either discontinued in JP or EK only had the Monoflex available [doubt it]

Tein USA rates

DC2R 10/7
EM1 - 9/5

NB: Couldn't find EK...

Anyway, what I'm saying is be careful, even subtle differences in spring rates and valving can have a profound effect on the way your car behaves. Also cheap 2nd hand coilovers may mean they need a rebuild so factor that into your cost...

Tein Japan list Monoflex for EK with 10/6 spring rates

I think tein didnt sell them marked as ek1, my em1's super streets say ek9 on them.

def need f7 lcas...

i would advise you to go go whooper function 7 lca... its the lastest ones that are coming out.. its a dual layer of rings combined which makes it 5x more stronger then the current function 7 lcas

look at the pics on the function 7 website.. Whooper Function 7

I think tein didnt sell them marked as ek1, my em1's super streets say ek9 on them.

correct, majority of aftermarket tuners who did coilovers for the ek/ej/em in japan are indeed designed for the ek9 chassis not for ek1/4 chassis... much like how most aftermarket dc2 coilovers are designed for dc2r with the eyelet and not the fork... why design a product which wont make as much money for a small niche market who only drive dc2/ek4 when majority of buyers who own a honda which plan to modify them owns a ek9/dc2r in japan, ofcourse i am talking about tein, bilstien, all the top range players, not the cheaper brands

so then EK and EG coilovers are interchangable since the Rear LCA takes fork style?

srry to hijack (with a box cutter)

Yes EG & EK are both fork type BUT the EK fork is approx 53mm & the EG is 68mm. You have to modify the mounting bush on the EG if you want to run EK suspension (as I have done on my race car) as some of the top shelf coilover options are not available for EG (example: Monoflex, KW V3).

Also the LCA are not interchangable between EG & EK as the LCA are different lengths
