Black 98 ek same colour as black 97 ek?

Hey guys

Tomorrow im going to pick up a black rear hatch off a 98 ek for my current ek.
My civic is a 97 ek1 thats black aswell.
I wont be driving my the ek to pick it up so I wont be able to compare the 2 blacks to see if they're the same

I asked the seller if he knows what paint code the car has that it came off but he doesnt.

Does anyone know If the 98 ek1 black is the same as the black on my 97 ek?

Even if it is the same colour code it will probably still be slightly a different shade due to sun exposure/fading.

this is correct,
No Panels from the same coloured car will ever be the same colour
It might look the same at night time but when you give it a nice clean in sun it will show

Black ek1 97 and 98 should have same colour code
