Hi guys

its finally time to upgrade my car as my eg is starting to show signs of old age :(
so im looking for another honda!
i have a really cant put my head around what one i should get but really looking for a luxury car with all the extra bits and pieces that most sporty cars dont have.
been really keen on the accords but just want to find out if theres any common faults or things i should look out for as i want to get one second hand.
apart from the engine size from the v6 and the euro lux are they practically the same car?
thanks in advance :D

Yes and no, about 90% of the parts from a euro are interchange with the accord.

If you're going to dive into mods etc, go with the euro.

Parts are much much easier to find. I would know I know the accord and parts are a bitch to find lol.

Is driving manual important for you? Afaik the v6 accord only came in auto? Not sure though

Unless you want to be rebuilding/replacing the transmission in the future
Stay with the I4 Euro
V6 and Euro share the same Transmission (in auto)
And the v6 is a torque monster compared to the I4
Good luck

+1

I have the V6 and would not want less grunt. However I've done the transmission!
Reading all the info on the V6 it would appear that changing the trany fluid/full flush every 50k 'should' preserve it. The 120k in the service book is too long for it.
I'm sure my original service book does not sheduled fluid change at all!
Extra grunt, extra space go the V6. Fuel economy not 'much' different with the VCM v6.
Everyone with Euros though seem very happy.

Try doing your transmission fluid change every year
And there should be an external filter for it

I had both and find Euro to be better built and less issues. If you seat in both , straight one after another, you will find that euro seats are much nicer and do not sink as much.....
On the other hand V6 enigine on wide body accord is really smooth and powerful while euro needs reving to do its best.....

Your choice buddy...

I would get the Euro on looks alone.

I was choosing between them brand new,and the 2 were parked next to each other on the showroom floor.

The Euro looked and felt super sexy, while the normal Accord looked grandpa-ish,and did not feel as tight or sporty...

If you're after power and a spacious interior, the accord.

If you're after a manual and a nicer interior (imo), the Euro.
