Our client VicRoads has developed a new animation to show how motorcycle Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS) work to help riders in emergency situations.
A must watch if you are considering buying a new motorcycle or want to understand why ABS is important.
Check out the clip here http://youtu.be/IUjTVzHIrXE

What....?

The video says that abs will reduce breaking distance.

But that would only apply when the tires of the vehicle without abs locks up.

accually a locked wheel doesn't apply more force than a braked wheel near the limit/with minute angles of slip

so it's assuming that you're an incompetent rider and that you'd always exceed the limits of grip under emergency braking
