Also do the devices still iimprove efficiencey on a car with a FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER... apposed to a engine mount cooler?

vtec intercooler waterspray. ;)
spend ur money elsewhere though, gains are minimal or need a larger cooler if its that inefficent.

Just tap into your windscreen washer pipes.. and when u wet ur windscreen u can wet ur intercooler! =)
fully manual, that way u can cool it on extremely hot days..

a better solution would be to monitor intake charge temps and spray according to a certain rpm/tps combination vs intake charge temp.

Ideally, this can be controlled via the ecu operating some kind of solenoid when above conditions are met.

I am thinking if I was at the drags, I would want something manual that I could control or auto control by temp. Like at the line or approaching the line, when there no air flow to cool the intake. Press the spray button and you have cool air straight off the line.

Don't you get disqualified if it drips on the track though?

yeh guys i have also been looking at CRY02 Kits (kits that spray Co2 onto your cooler and freez it down to a very low temp), they look pretty good and you can have them activated by boost sensitavie switches so they come on only on boost, or vtec even if you want .... :)

does anyone know where to get a cry02 kit in oz?

Hey Lyle_Style. I have seen these CRY02 Kits before. I will find out the supplier tomorrow. I have acutually seen two types. One as mentioned sprayed on to your intercooler and another device that is put in to your intake pipe just before the manifold. The air flows over the Co2 cooled device and cools the air intake. You can have multiple amounts of these devices. For NA or FI.

i think a button would be better, my mate has it stick on his evo3 and u can feel it doin some good in certain situations

I thought the windsceen washer idea is no good doesn't make enough pressure for a good spray or something. could still hook up a pump to the bottle though i spose. I reckon a button for manual use would be better cos you don't want to be using it all the time right?

Yeah I have heard of the pressure problem too. Higher pressure pump will give you a finer spray. But as for the manual button i don't really see the point (unless you wanna be like 2F2F - the nawwwzzz yeah! :p j/k). Wouldn't it be better to have it fully automatic? Boost switch or VTEC activated. The water jet has a reasonably low flow rate, so youre not going to be on the boost for long enough to drain to water supply... I've heard of people filling up about once a week running it off a boost switch.
