i think u have got it the wrong way round...the front is EP3 while the bak is DC5R..
here is a site tat tells u the steps to change it-
http://www.geocities.jp/nicosfit/diy/emr/index.htm

My mate just bought a DC5R badge for me from HK and i just realised it takes quite out a bit of work and effort to change these badges.

You gotta remove the rear wiper first, then the inner panel of the back door, then remove the whole rear wiper motor mechanism, then remove the whole back panel that the wiper is sitting on, then unscrew the current chrome honda logo from the back of the back panel. After removal of chrome pc, put in the red badge and tightened the screw, viola!! you are half done!! Coz you've gotta assemble everything back in place again.....:D Easily an hour's work if DIY.

The easy way is to use a scrapper and lift part of the chrome logo, work your way slowly up with gentle knocks on the scrapper, eventually you'll hit the screws....break them with the scrapper. Then stick on your red badge. Less than 10 mins work.

haha....i tried doing that but wasnt very successful at all:( ...just wondering if anyone here knows how to remove those 4-5 screws on the back door that are holding the panel the wiper is sitting on?

thx

Well looks like I won't be getting it... I just rang up Honda and they say the badging are all different for every car... Like there's pins or something on the back of the badge and the pin holes for every car is different... So the only way to put it on is to snap the pins and stick it on with some strong tape or something... GG... and for the front there's no Red badging cause I have the front grille accessories... it's a custom sized H so there's no badging for it...

Plus I think it'll look weird with the back having red badging and front doesn't...

Yesterday i finally got around to changing the rear Honda badge to the red type r ones. i didnt plan to change it but some dicks tried stealing/breaking it wif a screw driver which snapped the badge in half as well as damaging the paint like a month ago. Actually it wasnt as hard as i expected though it takes abt 45 mins to do it. Well heres a photo of wot it looks like on my jazz.

Is there a group buy or something?

no group buys allowed?

And do you know where i can get it fitted as i am really crap at DIY!

MRFIT
10-05-2005, 10:36 PM
I read it somewhere.... its really troublesome to install the back badge.... :(

Jus-10
11-05-2005, 12:06 AM
No official group buys, but contact one of the traders like JDMyard and they should be able to orgaise something.

And yes I think the back is not the easiest, but then to do the front you have to take the front bar off too.

You will probably pay a fair bit to have someone do it for you JazzR, but your Honda dealer could probably do it....or just give it a go and see what happens. Get a couple of mates around and you'll soon figure it out! It's all part of the fun
