So im after some tips. I want to paint my centre caps but i have the good old red "H" engraved in the middle. Any tips on how i can cover it up and paint the rest of the body of the cap another color?
Cheers

get masking tape with a sharp knife.. cover the centre cap and cut to size which will give you a good texture and all round balance of colour

alot of people do it to cover the letters on valve covers just get a q tip and put a thin layer of vaseline over the bit you dont want paint to stick to and wipe off after paint is dry kinda like this.

You can also just paint the whole center cap, and just buy the stickers off ebay. Faster, easier, and will likely look cleaner as well.

^ I was thinking that but my centrecaps are not oem, so finding the write sticker will almost be impossible.

Why would this stop you from buying the right sized sticker? Just measure your center cap and then find stickers that will fit. To make it even easier, some sellers even let you specify the colour and size:
