CV joint fell out?! 5lug conversion on civic

hi guys,
Got a 99 model civic EK with a 5lug conversion. Purchased it with the 5 lug, and the CV joint was going so I had it changed.
Mechanic ordered a CV joint and said it was a tad too short, we then got an integra cv joint and fitted it.

10mins after driving, the new CV joint fell out =]

What CV joint should I be using?!

Fit the shaft. And wiggle it back and forth. Make an educated guess of how much play there is and swap it for one that's the correct size. It's not a matter of what shaft from what model you should be using. The matter is the length. Go to your local drive shaft shop and see if they'll exchange it for a longer one. A lot of models and makes use the same shafts.

should just use a dc2(anywhere from 93-00) with abs as far as I know
it's what I used to use in my ek anyway

which end fell out, the inner or outer joint?

i had a similar issue, but mine was the outer on my DA9.

clip still on the end? they usually go together with a thud
unless the driveshaft itself was too short and the joint stayed but the bearings fell out with the shaft
