So after searching through more than a year's worth of forum I've decided to ask the question instead. I've got a set of buddyclub (15x8) rims coming in the next coming weeks, and as a result I'm gonna need tyres. I really want to run 205/50/15s because I've run them in the past and I love the look/feel of the size. I haven't got a very high budget so I'm not really looking for R888s or anything of the sort. Was gonna run another set of KU31s however finding them in that size has proven almost impossible without spending 600 for a set. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The car is a daily with the occasional spirited run through the hills.
Cheers,
Vik.

Was in the same boat. Best I could find was KU31 $570 for a set. I'd just fork out for those
They're probably as "cheap" as you'd want to go if you're doing hill runs and not just sliding around on the streets, otherwise i'd say get the $100ea federal 595ss reps

why not get a 195/55/15?
this is without a doubt bang-for-buck tires.

I used to run 205/50/15s on my old eg and found they just suited me and my driving style better. I was keen on the 595SS or even the ATR Sport but neither of them come in 205/50/15. I might have to get those tyres ordered in after all just don't really wanna spend 600 (150 a tyre) at this point in time lol oh well
Not many brands you can choose from that makes good quality and bang for buck in 205/50/15
Toyo makes them, try Proxes 4..around 130 Each fitted and balanced.
Most of 205/50 are in semi's in the 200 mark....
Other brands that aren't made in japan i don't like using. KU31 are bang for buck for daily...Source them out at some tyre shop to order them in for you..

Only problem is they don't last nearly as long for daily duties and also I'm not located in Brisbane so shipping is a bitch as well. I found Kumho KU31s for 121 in the spec i want so I'll most likely go with them

KU31s are quite a hard compound from memory, similar to C-Drives... They're adequate for daily duties... That's about all I can say about them haha
