Hi,

So I'm attempting to D.I.Y repair the gutter rash on my wheels, i've done all the filling and sanding.

I bought a can of Duplicolor Wheel paint - http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/Dupli-Color-Wheel-Paint-340G-Silver.aspx?pid=324094#Description

But the colour isnt right, it seems abit too dark and it seems really misty (you can see the spots of paint). I'm not sure whether i'm spraying it wrong causing the misty-ness or the paint is just like that.

Anyways, is there any ideas on how i can match the paint of the wheel or save this disaster? Would honda provide touch-up paint for wheels, if they do would it be in a spray can?

Heres some photos of how the wheels look right now (looks really bad):

Silver is a PITA colour to match, both for shade and flake. If you can't find a rattle can that matches, you're going to either have to either spray the whole wheel, or take it to an auto wheel repairer who should be able to match the paint for you.

Don't forget to clear coat ;)

Honda only provide touch up brush paint pots.

Is your spare wheel a space saver or steelie, not another alloy? The spare wheel in my MY06 CL9 Euro Lux is a full 5th alloy...

Sorry, but what does PITA mean?

I'm thinking of trying this http://ppcco.com.au/wurth_silver.htm. Apparently it would match most OEM european silver wheels.
BUT they dont have any in stock cos of import issues... so I decided to vinyl wrap my wheels for now haha

Yes I have a full alloy spare but Ichanged the tyres from the stock ones, and the new ones are thicker for some reason (even though i bought the exact same size).

PITA = Pain In The A**.

I've seen that paint, but not sure how good a match that paint will be.

Wrapping looks like a good short term solution until you can swap the tire on your spare over or find a good paint match.

Please dont leave the alloys Black, that looks shocking on a CU2.

Even gutter rash looks better...

Thanks! =D, I'm also thinking of whether it would be a good idea to wrap the roof in glossy black.
