I hit a fox, lip broke off, cracked in a couple of places on my base Honda DC5 so I purchased a new lip from USA for a base DC5, got it painted and need it fitted however I want it to be flush and have no gap - if I just bolt it on it'd have a gap which would annoy me.

Where would I go to successfully and without issue have a lip attached? I'm thinking it would require bolting it, attaching the clips I can supply from the old lip, and possibly using a heat gun and/or bonding agent to bond the lip to create a flush look - something I'd rather have done professionally. Cheers :D

u already answered ur own question, if u want it professionally done just get a panel shop

If not prepare to pay than keep playing around, u should never need to heat it up at all, oem lips are designed to fit with no additional modifications unless stated, or worse as u stated a bonding agent aka, glue or epoxy resin

you'll need to find some panel beater, they should be able to do it. Just get it sikaflex'd on

Cheers guys, just wasn't sure exactly where to go - it seemed to be a really tough job when I spoke to a mechanic about it but I didn't think a lip could be THAT difficult. Will grab some quotes!

Yeah, because a mechanic isnt a panel beater

They should still have an idea of what needs to be done to fit a lip ......

QFT...

If you want it to be perfect, then ask a panel shop to graft the lip onto the front bumper, guarantee no gap however if you have the car lowered and your lip knicks or gets graunched on the thing, you'll destory your lip and damage the front bumper XD

I'll just add that these mechanics told me they could fit the lip ..but that's why I'm not going back, had my car from 11am-6pm and still couldn't do it. Another reason I'm worried about grafting the lip on is if I hit something again it rips the entire bumper out of place instead of just the lip which is also why I imagine the gap is there in the first place. It's just at the points it actually curves out from the car but maybe double sided tape would do the trick - I'll see what the smash repair shop up the road says, thanks guys!

double sided tape across the top of it, and a heat gun.
get someone to hold the lip to the car, and go accross heating it up to fit, then pull the tape backing off as you go along.
then screw it on.

or put a spare tyre on the bottom so its being pushed up then you can double side and screw the sides.

i did that for my lip kit (Y)

Just seems near impossible to do with my car without a hoist or ramp of some kind - I'll see how much they're going to charge, it shouldn't take someone who does it daily more than 30-45min but atleast if something goes wrong I can go back to them for it to be fixed (eg; if the lip starts curving out again).
