Ek civic centre consol removal

Hey I've done a search but came up with nothing so I decided to make a thread. How do you remove the centre console so I can install aftermarket head unit. If there is a DIY thread already about this feel free to direct me there and delete this thread.

maybe give youtube a try. sometimes you just need a visual point to be able to do it.

Does the keyless entry run through the standard head unit? If so by installing an aftermarket unit will this disable the keyless entry?

a quick way i reckon to find out would be remove the stereo and its harness. can you still operate the remote keyless entry? if yes, then i dont see a problem.

so i installed the headunit today and tbh wasnt all that hard. All up took about 1.5 hours start to finish including removing dash parts. Bought a harness to plug straight from headunit to cars harness and all works sweet

ha yes, i would have done it today if i didnt have things to do on the foz also. Plus i found the civ may been leaking from the windscreen so ill be replacing that this week
