Easiest is probably weight reduction.

Octane Booster helps. Especially if you've been running 91 RON all this time.
JDM DC2R

Flux Capacitor. What i used to run 13.8 in my dc2.
But for real now. Dont get a CAI pipe. They have been shown to loss power, and not forget screw your motor when they suck water in. get a pod in a box and run some 4" hose for cold air intake.
Lighter cars a faster car.
Lighter wheels reduce unsprung weight.
Loss weight. No point reducing the cars weight if you fat and weigh over 100kg. easy 30kg right there
Exhaust system
tune to 98 octaine
Turbo

anyone else heard that you get more kms out of 95 than 98?

dont run a pod, youll turn gay...
no such thing as a cheap mod that will make you go fast in a d series.... maybe get a bigger exhaust or a bigger intake manifold/throttle body, small/stupid mods = no noticeable power gain, maybe a whole killowattt

I get more out of BP 95 than 98, but it's very marginal. Car runs better on 95 than 91, 98 does not appear to improve anything for me. I guess you would need to be tuned to see a real benefit from 98.

D15, that's your biggest problem. Go cheap turbo (maybe $3k) unless you wanna tear the whole thing apart and do a full rebuild with new low and top end internals.

Seriously chuck on some lower profile tyres to reduce rolling diameter, shouldg ive you a little more accelaration. Get a proper tune, lose some weight and wax ya bonnet daily !!

before the next cruise, i plan to strip my rear seats out, because the rera carpet is mounted to the amp and sub. so much weight to be gained there, also gonna put her on a weighbridge to compare it to stock.

As much as i regard Weight as a factor affecting your speed; this is the 'noob' forum and i'll have my opinion regardless.
I think anyone who 'strips' interior trimming, seats, dash components, luxury items or even goes as far as going without fire extinguishers, a basic sound system, a spare wheel, etc..Just to make your car a little faster.
Is a complete tosser.
And you're even more-so of a tosser, if your car has little to no power/modifications to start with.
I have more than enough power, and i kept my A/C, P/S, Sunroof, Cruise Control, my nice and comfy 5-seater Accord interior, Speakers+Headunit, spare tyre.. And i even added a Fire Extinguisher just incase.
TIME, MONEY, EFFORT.
If you're not willing to spend atleast 2 of the above 3 when modifying your car for Power, don't bother reducing your weight at the cost of having a 'nice car'

well, its kind of different, i wouldnt strip the interior of an accord CB7, but i would strip the EG interior.

I'd sooner run another 1 PSI than strip my entire interior.
And i would end up with similar results.

It depends on what you value and prefer.. No need to call someone a tosser based on what your modding preferences.
It's excessive for most but do you really car about luxuries in an eg?

Agreed 100%.
Most cruises want 'cruisy' driving.. Not speeding/racing.
20KG of back seats won't affect your 'crusing' ..Except for when you stop, and all the other guys snicker at your motley interior.

If you wanted Luxury, you wouldn't buy an EG.
That said, if you wanted a quick car on the street you wouldn't buy an EG either.

That makes no sense Billy Maddison, 0 points for you.
Your 0-70 Acceleration times (Compared with a non-ruined interior) won't greatly impact your travel time, to/from anywhere.
How well you maintain that 70km/h will greatly affect it though.. And Weight doesn't stop you from keeping a constant speed.
You just need to run red-lights, swerve through traffic and use bus lanes and footpaths wherever possible.
THAT is the true way to 'get there fast'
Maybe you should buy a Motorbike for that though!

lighter the car the easier it is to change the speed and direction of the vehicle given that the appropriate/proportionate engine power and suspension is there.

thats only true if we are in space where there is no gravity.
friction = friction cofficient * Normal force, if at level, the normal force is mass*gravity.
more weight, more friction.
so in order to keep constant speed to overcome friction (slowing down), you need more power.
