I miss it too bro, was a shitbox, but a helluva lot of fun, at least it got me to wakey & back once, never forget that day, time of my life...

winner is the rex man, you don't remember my proudest moment? sad I am :(
I think it was the only time we got paired up, no matter how hard I tried to snake the lanes.
I just got a jump on ya, you were mowing me down big time at the top of the track with that nasty R & its 4.7, I think my footwell got an inch deeper from how hard I was mashing the throttle while watching ya creep into my passenger side windows.
But the lsd didn't help ya, what happened?

Jon gave up on the D in 2010. Ran an 11.6 then crapped itself. Going fully built B16A turbo now but he's moved over to WA I believe with his new Mrs.

I remember seeing vids of the 11.6 & others, was jambo wasn't it?
I think he just couldn't get it off the line in any fashion & it was just misbehaving in general at the bottom of the track.
I recall seeing the cliff like dyno plots & questioning him on the authenticity of the boost reading(i still can't believe it & all under the control of a little microtech or something ridiculous like that) . That boost musta been hitting so hard, his throttle thru 1st & 2nd would've been like an on/off switch, nobody coulda hooked that successfully to the ground, let alone a guy with not many passes under his belt...

I remember that too, lol, I also remember the noises coming from the front sussy ;)

The rex needs a new shell, or perhaps someone handy with welder could cut in a new piece of left rear arch rail. But also needs a new rear subframe tacked in. Prob just easier and cheaper to source the new shell. I could get a lighter pre '90 shell.
The drivetrain is still sweet.

But shit I want a EGK, K just don't fit well enough for me in a little rex, as much as I'd like it to, just ask G, he'll tell ya all about it ;)
I'd also like to go back to rear drive, decisions, decisions... Got a lotta shit to sort thru first before I do anything...
