spark plug change on an 04 model

My mate has an 2004 Euro. He asked me recently how hard it is to change the plugs. I have an '06 and didn't have any dramas.

He says his has a metal bar running across the top of the plug leads? He said his has a black plastic cover and under the cover there is a metal bar running the length of the engine which is loosely mounted but he can't seem to remove.

Mine doesn't have this. Only the black plastic cover.

I've searched here and Googled with no result.

I have a feeling that the bar is a strunt bar. that should bolt on/off without any issues.

I might get him to send me a picture. He said it only runs across the rocker cover and it's not bolted down firmly.

a good idea. on mine, its an open/shut job. remove engine cover, remove packs on spark plugs, and change. takes 10 mins to do 6 plugs.
