Where to place crossovers?

Been trying to install my new set of speakers and im having trouble figuring out where to place the crossover. Unlike the ap2 we dont have that plastic compartment and im scared that water way get onto it. Im sure heaps of people has installed their own speakers and i would like some advice where to place them.

Mount them under the seats, and run speaker wire from the amp/headunit to under the seats, then from the crossover to the midbass and tweeter.

Yes it might be more work, and more speaker cable, but they will be down out of the way, and protected.

If tweeter is being mounted on the door with the driver then i usually mount crossover in between the door trim and the door skin, service holes should be sealed anyway so no chance of it getting wet.

if tweeter going on dash or a pillar i usually install crossover under the dash.
