86 Accord clutch cable broken (twice)

Hi,

I replaced my accord clutch cable less than a year ago after it broke. For a while now the clutch has been very hard to push.

Today, the clutch cable broke again. I'm not sure if it broke in the same spot as last time.

I was wondering, what would cause a relatively new clutch cable to break? What could cause my clutch to be so hard to push?

first of all did you replace it with a new one from a dealer, second hand one or aftermarket ?

A new genuine one from a dealer.

how hard is it to press compared to what you remember ?

you could have problems with the pressure plate or the trust bearing binding on the input shaft race.
