Honda forgot Auto Dimming Door Mirrors on Euro?

Hi Guys,

I got my new 2012 Honda Accord Euro Luxury Navigation 10 days ago. Now I realise that both door mirrors don't dim even when strong light come from behind, but rear view mirror is dimmable. Then I double checked specification information on Euro's official website and brochure, both of them show that Euro Luxury and Luxury Navigation models are equipped with auto dimming door mirror. Today, I went to Honda dealer for the first inspection and asking about this, they not sure if Euro Lux Navi has auto dimming door mirrors.

Anyone has same problem?

Is there such a thing as an auto-dim door mirror? Mine has the auto-dim rearview mirror but the door mirrors only have heating elements.

the technology is there, but whether it is included in the car is a different story.

Your lucky day. Demand for a set of the auto dimming door mirrors from Honda. Say that they misrepresented to you that the Euros are equipped with those dimming mirrors and get them!!

yeah, i would be pushing honda for an answer there. not sure about whats going on there.

yep, been a standard on most of the Lexus range such as LS430, LS460, SC430, GS430, GS460.

probably standard on the JDM models too. its the AUDM that gets the fancy features late.

Its always been annoying to me that a lot of the features available on the overseas versions of our car(s) arent available in Au even as options...eg voice interaction with TSX nav , lanekeep assist etc...wouldnt necessarily want all of them...but Honda Au want to keep to a price/profit...maybe understandable but not even options? Surely bad business?

i have a feeling its something to do with the old ADRs. because it seems that only australian models are down spec'ed. even our kiwi counterparts have higher spec'ed cars than us.

Auto dimming door mirror is the standard equipment on Luxury and Luxury Navigation model. It shows on Honda official web. And I find that not just mine has no dimming door mirror, but all other Euro owner haven't got this on their car.
