So im wanting to de-cat my b16 for power gains and also for the reason that the cat scrapes alot now that my car is lowered xD.

So what is a good brand and shop that I should buy from?
I found a de-cat pipe on ebay but its a random brand.

u do know decat pipes are highly illegal and it is an epic fine. the power gains are not worth the risk of getting caught if you want more power do a major service you will gain more from that then a shitty decat or go buy a high flow cat

I knew they were illegal but I thought what are the chances of a cop looking under my car. I didnt know that the fine is massive :S
I would like to get a full exhaust system but I dont have the funds :(.

I might look into a High flow cat but it sounds like the gains wouldnt be worth it

There are no real gains on a de cat mate. Only the higher output tuned engines or setups might benefit from
A touch more flow

Remember a cat is an emissions requirement for both road driving and also on 96+ vehicles with 2 o2 sensors is a requirement for the ecu to see a working cat.

Get a decent header ( like Jdm 4-1 , Toda , buddy club etc) and a equally sized high flow car and that will gain you a decent bit of poke and noise

how can you get a "good brand" of a hollow piece of metal.... any exhaust shop can make you up one, but not worth it, as said, highly illegal, i had no cat when i bought my car and put one in and it hardly affected it, just a little louder and crackled more without the cat... and more black shit on my rear bar

^^ yep, up to 10k. you drive into a epa-station/defect station and they may check. especially if you have a modified car.

De-cat isnt really worth it, unless its clogged or some shit which rarely happens.
De-cating also gives u this ugly tingy/raspy noise thats gets annoying when u floor it
