Hey guys I'm just wondering how to fix some small scratches and dents on the car.

I have a few rock chips but doesnt look deep and its kinda grey-ish silver on the car surface, also some smudges from insects that cannot get rid off and small scratches on side from other people hitting into my sides and their cars paint is stuck on my car. Is there a way to get rid of all these stuff on the car?

Will wax or polish fix it? If so whats a good wax or polish?

if paint is missing (in the form of a chip) wax and polish will not fix it.

in this order
Wash to remove loose dirt
clay can remove contaminants
polish can remove scratches and swirls

whats left needs paint correction

if it's small chips and scratches you may want to try using colour cure from turtle wax.

it's non abrasive and does work on the smaller scratches.

fill it in with the chipstick then polish it and let it blend

keep in mind the paint would have changed colours after so many years of wear. you can get a can of custom colour made up for $25 at any good paint shop, they can also colour match it too.

however if you brush over it, even with oem paint colour, it will still show

Is the turtle wax a polish or a wax?

turtle wax colour cure is a polish with a chipstik (i think "turtle wax" is the brand name)

the chipstik worked really well with my silver car, the black car was a bit harder as there is more contrast.

I had this same problem. Go to Autobarn and get some paint mixed up (was like $15) and get a detailer to fill in the scratches and stone chips if your not confident in doing it yourself.
