Hi All,
Just upgraded my old Pulsar N16 for a new Odyssey Lux.
The old Pulsar - last outing before the teardown.
23573
The New Odyssey, ready to begin again.
23574
Will be replacing the factory DVD/Nav with Alpine unit, and matching processor, etc.
Slowly Slowly - not in a rush, but will be keeping an eye on a few threads in here.
Also interested in some minor mods externally, and under the bonnet.

Hi lolmchol
All the Odyssey here in Oz are Auto as far as I can tell.
The HID are ok, but need to put whiter globes in the high beam, parkers and fog lights.
Also going to find/make some nice DRL leds.
by Visors, do you mean eyelids? I though about that, but didn't like the fit.
Weather shields are coming soon.

Oh ... by visors I meant the ones that wrap around the top of the door frame so you can have your window down.
As for DRL LEDs I would highly recommend the set that Phillips produce, I helped a friend install some on his car and it was quite easy to do and the results faired just as well!

From a RB1 standpoint.... The car is not exactly fast... Handling is 'ok' and the OEM brakes are crap. But other than that it is relatively cheap to maintain and with a few mods it still looks good given the RB1's age.
The RB3 and the RB1 isn't that much different mechanically, but the body kit that comes on the RB3 Lux model does make it look better

I found it has plenty of go, and quite good pickup - but only with RON98+ fuel. On standard unleaded it's a bit sluggish. I understand there's a few differences in the MY13's engine - just minor stuff.
Gearbox is quite smooth under power, but hesitates a bit on gentle throttle up-shifts.
Handling is nice, but not sports - more of a luxury car. I don't even notice that it's a wagon really - other than reversing (but who drives backwards)!
So far (1200 k's) fuel consumption is around 8.2 average, with down to 5.8 on highway driving and about 11 or 12 in the 'burbs.
Waiting for the "performance" shops to re-open so I can order some goodies. Thinking Tein EDFC with -75 rear and -50 front coilovers.

It is smooth, but pauses slightly with light throttle. With Full-Throttle, it's very good, or using the Sport Mode

It's pretty comfortable as a daily and a crusier, but the low end torque can be a bit lacking for aggresive over taking during start stop traffic.
Gear shifting is pretty smooth as well.
If I can ever make it to a PHC meet you can have a drive of my RB1.

EDFC is a must if you change your settings often. To make adjustments on the rear dampening settings will require the suspension to be taken off. Handling should improve as well ;)

From what I am told, the EDFC is all electronic- so you adjust front/rear from the control module.
The spring height / pre-loads are manual adjustment though.

i meant if you didnt have the EDFC, would you have to take the suspension out everytime to adjust the damper?
