it won;t be plug and play as the controls and looms are different

Alot of work, money and effort to be made to fit this thats why not many people do it. I only know of 2 people in Australia whos ever done it. PM em_1 if you have any questions, his done it to his em1 although he will be making a DIY soon which alot of people will be looking into when its out (incl myself)

If you already have a 99-00. Its an easy conversion. You just need the double din fascia, loom that is attached to the climate control on fascia, middle duct (from heater box to the vent on centre console, should be black), the electric motor that is mounted under the heater core/box, this replaces the cable driven temperature system, the bracket to hold this motor onto the heater box.
And all the clips for the fascia of course. Can't buy them from honda new anymore, my mate spoon_accord with the EK9 have bought the last 6 clips in australia.

But since you're 96, its a lot of work, wiring wise. Difference in wiring between the 96-98 and 99-00 is a shit load.

em_1's DIY will be for the 99-00 guys. Since he had a 99-00. If you wanted the DIY for a 96-98, you should refer to what Winter linked. As thats the only good DIY around for 96-98

As for if the USDM LHD fascia will work on a RHD car. I'm not too sure. Sorry mate.

If the double din fascia is symmetrical then I don't see why you couldn't fit it, so long as you get all the associated parts with it

but if you're going to all that trouble, why get USDM? just get RHD suitable parts..

I've got all my 99 parts ready for the conversion ;) Interesting regarding the wiring differences between 96-98 and 99-00, something I didn't know

Just did a bit of reading. Forget about what i said about 96-98 being different. what i said about 99-00 applies to 96-98.

Just need:
