I'm keen to lower my BB1 Prelude, and I've found a set of adjustable coilovers... but... they don't have the shocks/struts with them...

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/98-06-Honda-Accord-COILOVER-LOWERING-COIL-SPRINGS-Kit-/330592092331?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3APrelude&hash=item4cf8d300ab&_uhb=1#ht_2466wt_1265

How would I go about installing these without making my car a lethal weapon?

Thanks.

Remove standard shocks
Remove springs
Fit sleeve & springs
Refit top hats
Refit shocks
Adjust height
Road test

You will need spring compressors and basic tools to do the job

They slip onto the strut like so and sometimes have small bolts to secure them to the strut body so they dont rattle and move

The ones you linked from ebay are generic china/taiwan made garbage springs with who the hell knows spring rates and shit steel

People do use them and they work but the general opinion is theyre junk

Either find some Ground Control brand ones or a simple set of lowering springs

also lowering on the standard struts will wear them out alot faster

i think you need aftermarket struts , it defiantly wont be safe on oem on a side not that ebay stuff is very risky you get what you pay for. goodluck!

What makes them junk?
I'm not keen to go on the track or do any sort of racing, I just want to lower the Prelude a bit for aesthetics.

Thanks a lot for your help though.

Just cut your stock springs

dont... ride will be bad and shocks will fail earlier than usual.
