Hello guys,

I'm wanting to upgrade a 2010 FD1 Civic sedan to led's. I just don't know what the numbers of the bulbs are. I'm wanting to change:

Parkers
Dome/interior light
Boot light
Indicators
Side markers
License plate

Does anyone know what the numbers/type of these are?

The high-beams and headlights are also separate bulbs (so one bulb for high-beam one for headlight), just wondering what bulbs these are?

Also, what kind of bulbs are the foglights?

Thanks :)

I take it that HB4's are for headlights and HB3's are for high-beams..?

I just took my LED board with 30 LED's out of my car and put it into the FD. Fits very snugly. Almost like it was designed to fit it.

Relay flasher?

Turn signal flasher. Because LED's use less power. Don't think they'd work with stock flasher

yeah ... it dawned on me just after I posted it ... I received one when I bought a set of lights from a site awhile ago ... seemed like too much effort to install so I sold them :-P

Bloody hell. Dj_AmtraX never reported his findings in that thread. Was getting excited for all the useful information then it just stopped.

Curse you Dj_AmtraX.

Keep in mind, Usa cars are sometimes different with bulb fittings that its annoying. Gave up on reading up on the EK ones, as they were all usdm. Had to pull everything out and see for myself.

Sames. Went out to the garage to pull shit out about 5 times. Too hawt. So far got the right bulbs for dome, rearview mirror dome (x2), boot, license plate and sidemarkers. Will pull out headlight and foglight bulbs later tonight as well as check the fuse box. Just want to make sure. Will most likely be getting DiamondVisions like yours for the low beam/high beam and foggies. Want some of that blue tinge ay.

Might get an Angel Eyes kit too. Dat BMW look.

Mate, he's paying for it. So eager to get rid of the fugly yellow bulbs after he saw mine. Plus I have to buy more shit from SBL in order to be able to process my order. Couldn't order just one dome led like I initially wanted, was under the $25 minimum.

literally when you look at it from the front, there's a screw in the top left corner on the pasengers side and one in the top right on the drivers side, then it just "drops" out.

Super Bright Leds (SBL). The order I did with Pho took under a week, this one's taking bloody ages.

Headlights are easy as pie, high beam you just move the overflow bottle off the battery stand mount and reach in from the top, low beams you take off the wheel well cover a bit and reach through ...

or is it the angel eyes you're worried about?

Yep, the angel eyes. I'm pretty sure in order to do it properly I'd have to remove the heading housings which means removing the bumper. Apparently there are two screws that hold the headlights in that you can't reach without taking the bumper off..

Hallo

Replaced interior bulbs with LEDs and headlights with Phillips CrystalVision bulbs. Ended up buying LEDs from Super Bright LEDs (SBL), a company in the US. If anyone's interested, I got the following list for the FD:

2x Parkers (http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/194-led-bulb-1-x-1-watt-smd-led-wedge-base/205/915/)

Boot light (http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/30-high-power-led-rectangle-pcb-lamp-w-wedge-base/836/2087/)

2x Side markers (http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/194-led-bulb-5-smd-led-wide-angle-wedge-base/206/923/)

2x License plate (http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/194-led-bulb-5-smd-led-wide-angle-wedge-base/206/919/)

Dome/interior light (http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/30-high-power-led-rectangle-pcb-lamp-w-wedge-base/836/2087/)

2x Dome (lights above rearview mirror) (http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/30-high-power-led-rectangle-pcb-lamp-w-festoon-base/839/2093/)

Relay flasher (http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/cf13jl-02-led-bulb-electronic-flasher/783/837/)

Headlights
Low beam - HB4
High beam - HB3
Foglights - H11

I found the headlight bulbs on eBay from a seller in the UK

The LED board for the boot light fits perfectly in the housing. Just make sure you put the LED board inside the housing first, THEN plug it in, and it will fit perfectly. If you plug it in first and then try and fit it in you might have problems.

As for the interior dome, it's a really tight fit putting the LED board in, so plug it in, position it the way you want it, and then try and keep it in that position while you put the housing back on. It might be a two-person job to get it to position the way you want it. Like I said, it's a tight fit so don't be afraid to use some force to put the housing back on.

And for the dome lights above the rearview mirror, when you open up the housing, there's an empty area (pic here (http://gallery.8thcivic.com/albums/album07/led6.jpg)) next to where the terminals for the bulb is - you can fit the led board in there and hold it down with sticky tape and run the wire back to the terminals. Fairly easy. But when you press it to turn on, you'll have to press a little harder because the wire's in the way a little.

When replacing the headlight bulbs, unclip the splashguard on the driver's side to gain easy access to the low beam and high beam bulbs. Turn your wheel to the right (or left if LHD) all the way to make it even easier to put the splash guard back on since there are 3 clips hidden inside behind the wheel. When replacing the bulbs on the passenger side, just take the battery out and the fluid bottle thing next to it - it makes it much much easier since it's bloody difficult putting the fluid bottle back in while the battery's still in.

And foglights are super easy. Just one screw in the top corner and it's out.

I have a bulb list for the unloved civic hatch(FK2) but not the sedan or the new hatch.

As for the flasher relay, i think the FD uses the MICU to control the flash rate and has no real relay.

I never really gave the flasher much thought, so you're saying I can just install the led side markers without the relay and they'd flash properly?
