Civic EJ8 98 model, Malfunction indicator light came on while driving? Need help!

Hey guys i have a 98 model EJ8 Coupe, while driving yesterday the Malfunction indicator light came on and then sometimes it goes off and then back on again ?

has anyone has this problem? and what are the things i should check?

Car is bone stock and always serviced on time.

Any help will be much appeciated

It's most likely the O2 sensor.
Try taking it out and using some carby cleaner on it.
Otherwise they cost around $80 brand new.

I have the same problem, any recomendations on where to buy a cheap one? mechanic told me the same thing.

i know its been a long time but thought this might help someone one day, Mine was a map sensor faulty which the obd scanner picked up. After changing it with a second hand one i brought for $30. its been nearly 4 months and no issues at alll
